Today is the anniversary of the terrible Earthquake that devastated much of the Yamakoshi area. There are fireworks being fired all around as I type.
Today we visited a few breeders as usual to inspect their stocks. We called in Fujio Oomo and had a quick look round, he has some really nice Showa, huge nisai! Very impressed. We then went up to Marusho and saw a very nice Ochiba, great body. Oomo had harvested a pond the previous day and had his very best Sansai Showa – staggering!
Off then to Isa to look at a few new Nisai, ended up getting a tancho Showa! They seem to be all the rage…
We then got taken to see one of Isa Sans staffs Koi Hiouse. You often find that staff of the larger breeders breed Koi aswell. They are training and working but still produce their own fish. Well Mauhide took us to his place where he breeds all Doitsu GoSanke. Some really nice stuff…and we had to buy! Check out the ones we bought. Will be really good value too, email me for price info.
